The Golden Visa procedure.


The application for residence by investment with a minimum of 500.000 euro in Spanish properties, must be made in person at the Spanish embassy in Taipei. This is done on the basis of a standard form that our legal department already have for you, and which our lawyers fill in to prevent unnecessary delays or miscommunication.


To qualify for residency through an investment application process, also known as Golden Visa, we must ask you first to provide certain documents to our Legal Department to determine your eligibility. 

The documents that are required for the Golden Visa procedure and the steps in this process we have briefly summarized below:


Step 1: 

Sent the below required documents to our legal department for inspection:

  • Passport-size photograph that is less than 6 months old, on a white background and forehead.

  • Passport valid for at least one year.

  • Taiwan ID or, for non-Taiwanese, the ARC.

  • Taiwan Criminal Record Certificate.

  • Justify having sufficient economic resources for themselves and, where appropriate, for the members of his family during 

his period of residence in Spain.


Step 2: 

Select the property you want to purchase from our selection of properties.

After an intake interview where we make an inventory of your wishes and preferences for the investment, a personal 

advisor will be appointed for you, who will remain your contact person to assist and advise you in your own language 

during the entire application procedure. Based on your wishes and preferences, we present you with a tailor-made 

selection of suitable properties to choose from.



Step 3: 

Transfer of investment, tittle deed and health insurance.

In order to complete the application form, we need to provide the below:

  • provide the property purchase documents

  •  proof that the full purchase amount is in a Spanish bank account.

  • provide a proof that you are medically insured with a Spanish insurance policy.



With the above matters, your personal advisor will assist you, to relieve you as much as possible in a safe and transparent manner.



Step 4: 

Golden Visa stamp in passport (valid 6 months)

After the application for national residence has been approved, you must return to Spain within 1 month after approval of the 


You will go to the local authority together with the lawyer to store your fingerprints and will receive the GOLDEN VISA stamp 

in your passport, which will expire in 6 months. From this moment you are allowed to study, work and stay in Spain, however, 

effective residence is not required for renewal.


Step 5: 

First extension residence (valid 2 years)

Within 12 months after receiving the GOLDEN VISA stamp in the passport, the client needs to return to Spain to do the same 

simple procedure with the lawyers at the local authority office, to extent the Golden Visa (residency by investment) with 2 years.


Step 6: 

Second extension residence (valid 5 years)

Before the expire date of 2 years, the client needs to go to Spain for the same simple procedure to extent residency with 5 years.


Step 7: 

Permanent residence.

Before the 5 years residency expires, the client needs to return to Spain. We will apply for permanent residence.

Optional: to apply for a Spanish passport is possible when the client has been resident for 10 years.
