Under Spanish consumer law, the developer and building contractor also remain jointly liable for minor construction defects - such as water leaks, mismatched floor tiles or any other defect caused by poor workmanship or the use of inferior material.

According to Spanish law, new-build homes in Spain must meet at least energy standard B and contain the most modern energy-efficient systems, such as efficient
